It all started with construction paper and excessive amounts of tape as a young kiddo. These days as an adult (sort of! Ha!) I express my creativity through photography. Every day I wake up grateful that my creative side meshes so well with my passion for people and turned into this dream into a career.
2016 wedding colors are sure to be a hot topic if you are recently engaged. Perhaps you had a lovely Christmas engagement or a surprise New Year’s Eve Engagement (a huge congratulations to all of you!), you have likely already dived into wedding planning. Between Pinterest, Instgram, Weddingbee, The Knot and Style Me Pretty, all that information and inspiration can be a bit overwhelming! Having been a bride myself, I know how hard it is to nail down those all important details, especially when there are so many options and great ideas. One of those all important details you must decide on is your wedding colors. One of those all important details you must decide on is your wedding colors.
Wedding colors set the whole tone and emotion for your wedding day and everything seems to revolve around them and tie back into them. I wanted to help you sort through all the options out there and bring you a few of 2016 hottest colors for weddings.
Rose Quartz is one of the Pantone colors of the year and is sure to be one of the 2016 wedding colors. This would be a beautiful color for anything from flowers, to bridesmaids dresses.
Serenity is the other Pantone color of the year. I am thinking this will be used in some beautiful spring weddings this year. Long, romantic bridesmaid dresses, yes please!
Aqua will provide a pop of color to any neutral color scheme or pair it with Rose Quartz for a lovely pastel theme.
Jewel tones are ranking high for 2016 wedding colors this year and this marine blue has it all. Dark, deep but with a punch. Marine is sure to make a statement at your wedding.
Another jewel tone is Wine. This elegant and sophisticated color will bring life to your wedding. Pair it with black for a classic look or use rose gold for the ultimate glam wedding.
Peach is a sublet but the ultimate feminine wedding color. Think fairy tales and knights in shining armor. Your day will be magical with a brush of Peach.
Rose gold continues to be a hot color in 2016. Not just for weddings, but for fashion, jewelry and home decor as well. Rose gold can be the main color of your wedding or add it in to your color scheme for a touch of glam.
Orchid is a beautiful jewel tone that will make your wedding feel regal. This color makes me swoon and compliments so many skin tones. I can definitely see a row of bridesmaids rocking this beautiful color.
Are you sophisticated but also a free spirit? Lavender Grey is for you! It’s a simple color full but it is full of whimsy. I can’t wait to see this color in action at weddings this year.
I’ll end this 2016 wedding colors round up with this creamy buttery yellow adds just the right amount of bunch. This color can be played up or down. Try pairing it with marine for a bright and bold color scheme or use it alongside lavender grey for a beautiful nature inspired theme.
