There was a slight breeze on the warm July evening, and the occasional firecracker was heard in the distance. Dillon and Sam and I dodged the sprinkler system as we walked around the Friends University Campus the evening before the Fourth of July.

Even brighter than the fireworks was the spark between Sam and Dillon. They are high school sweethearts who have been together for over 7 years and have been married for just a few months! Even after 7 years they can still make each other smile and laugh at a moment’s notice. They are settling into married life like pros and recently returned from an amazing honeymoon in Mauai!

Dillon and Sam, thank you for letting me capture your love. You are a wonderful couple and I know you will share many more adventures together in the future…Hearts & hugs…Valerie

I took Sam and Dillon to a secret and hidden location with that cool old door that you see in the background. I actually found the door back when I was in high school.

Those eyes! I can’t get over how beautiful they are Sam!

Sam likes to sneak attack Dillon with kisses on his cheek. Too cute!
